The reservation under various categories will be as per prevailing Government Guidelines at the time of finalization of result. The above vacancies are provisional and may vary according to the actual requirement of the Company at the material time. The vacancies of reserved category candidates are inclusive of backlog/unfilled vacancies, if any. Merit list will be drawn up State-wise and Category-wise. The candidates who qualify in the pre-recruitment tests (Preliminary & Main Examination) will be further shortlisted for Regional Language Test
Eligibility Criteria of NICL Recruitment
A candidate applying for recruitment in the Company must be either: —
a) a citizen of India, or
b) a subject of Nepal, or
c) a subject of Bhutan, or
d) a Tibetan refugee who came over to India before 1st January, 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India, or
e) a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.
Provided that a candidate belonging to categories (b), (c), (d) and (e) shall be a person in whose favour a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India
Age (as on 01.10.2024)
Minimum Age: 21 years
Maximum Age: 30 years (as on 01.10.2024).
Candidates born not earlier than 02.10.1994 and not later than 01.10.2003 (both days inclusive) are only eligible to apply.
The upper age limit will be relaxed as under:

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION (as on 01.10.2024)
A candidate must possess the minimum qualification of Graduation in any discipline from a recognized University or any equivalent qualification recognized as such by the Central Government. Candidate should possess certificate in proof of passing the qualifying examination as on 01.10.2024. Knowledge of Reading, Writing and Speaking of Regional Language of the State / UT against the vacancies for which a candidate wishes to apply, is essential. To ascertain the candidate’s familiarity with the Regional Language of the State / UT, a Regional Language Test will be conducted before final selection. Candidates not found to be proficient in the Regional Language Test would be disqualified.
Note: Candidates are advised to satisfy themselves before they apply that they fulfill the requirements as to Age, Educational Qualifications and other eligibility criteria and if found ineligible their candidature will be cancelled at any stage of recruitment. Appearing in the ONLINE EXAMINATION & REGIONAL LANGUAGE TEST will not automatically confer any right of being selected for the said post.
Selection Procedure of National Insurance Company Recruitment
All candidates will have to appear for the online Preliminary & Main examination, thereafter; candidates qualifying the Main examination will be further shortlisted for Regional Language Test.
Phase-I: Preliminary Examination (Online):
Preliminary Examination consisting of Objective Tests (Multiple Choice type Questions) for 100 marks will be conducted online. This test would be of 60 minutes duration consisting of 3 sections (with separate timings for each section) as follows:
